The Metis Indian Town Alcohol Association (MITAA) provides residential social detoxification services as well as overnight shelter services. We also provide outpatient services in High Prairie and Valleyview.
We provide a 24 hour, short-term, non-medical residential, safe environment in which clients can withdraw from alcohol and drugs. While clients are going through withdrawal, they are closely monitored by staff. The program length is 1 – 7 days. Clients are encouraged to attend 12 Step support group meetings and seek further treatment.
We also provide a 10 mat overnight shelter service to intoxicated people.
