For more than 40 years Alcove has been providing solutions for women and their families seeking recovery. Providing long-term residential treatment in a compassionate and loving home, where woman access treatment thus building a foundation for a life in recovery. We employ an interdisciplinary approach to treating addiction and addressing mental. Our recovery program includes daily individual and group counseling sessions throughout the course of the program. Located in the quite residential community of Altidore, our humble home is an active member of our vibrant neighborhood. Our core programming is enhanced recreational and therapeutic activities conducted in an atmosphere conducive to physical, emotional, mental and spiritual growth partnering with a number of service providers and facilities here in our community. The peer support model runs in unison with our own treatment model of intergraded care which the base is derived from the 12 Step abstinence model of recovery and is supported by a bio-psycho-social model of therapy. At Alcove we know, recovery is real, attainable and sustainable and that any woman seeking recovery ought to have the opportunity for a new way of life.
